With a recent report* finding that 50% of parents in London and the South East would be prepared to move home to secure their child a place at a good school, it’s perhaps no surprise that new parents Dan and Kerry Millar put education high on their wish list when looking for a new house.

We thought we were being really organised registering Lucy at Russell House School so early but discovered that a lot of parents had the same idea as half the places in her year had already been taken!"

Dan, a web developer, and Kerry, who is the manager of a dental practice, started researching family homes in the Sevenoaks area on the internet. As soon as they saw the beautiful barn style properties at Childsbridge Farm they knew they’d found their dream home. The couple moved out of their two bedroom flat in St Mary’s Island in Chatham and into their new three bedroom home when Lucy was seven months old.

Dan said: "We decided on Childsbridge Farm because it offers everything we were looking for a beautiful home in an ideal location. We loved the unusual barn-style design of the properties here and the stunning surroundings. Seal is a really pretty village, Sevenoaks is on our doorstep for leisure activities and of course London is within easy reach."
